Parenting Values Card Sort

This tool combines aspects of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and neurodiversity-affirming perspectives to help you explore the core values that influence your parenting.

What's a value?

In ACT, values are your chosen life directions—the qualities and ways of being that matter most to you. Unlike goals (which you achieve), values are ongoing guides for how you want to show up as a parent, even during challenging moments.

Instructions: Drag and drop the 40 value cards from the bottom into the relevant categories above based on the importance of each to you as a parent. On mobile, use the buttons on each card. There is no right or wrong answer.

To save your results: Use the Download Summary button, or press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on Mac) to print this page with your sorted values.
